About Flowboard
Flowboard is a planning board for people whose work does not fit a tidy list. You write down what needs doing, how long you think it will take, how much it matters and what kind of energy it needs — and Flowboard works out an order you can actually follow inside the time you have.
What it does
- Boards and tasks grouped by context, with estimates, importance, energy and dependencies.
- Plan computes the best path through your open tasks within a time budget, instead of handing you a list sorted by due date and wishing you luck.
- Schedule lays that out day by day against your working hours, and rolls unfinished work forward.
- Calendars — export any board as an
.icsfeed, or connect Google Calendar or Microsoft 365 and push a task into a real calendar slot. - Shared boards with invitations and roles, so a board can belong to more than one person.
- An assistant that can summarise, split, prioritise and reschedule — on your own API key, and it never changes anything until you approve the change it proposes.
How it is built
Flowboard is a small, self-hostable Python application: FastAPI, SQLAlchemy and SQLite, with server-rendered pages and no build step. It is licensed AGPL-3.0, which means anyone running it as a service has to make their changes available too.
Two things it deliberately does not do
- No operator AI keys. Every AI call uses credentials you supply, encrypted at rest, and the assistant is off until you add one. You choose the provider and the model; we do not resell anyone's tokens or quietly route your board through ours.
- No advertising, no tracking pixels, no selling data. The only analytics are the operational logs needed to keep the service running.
Who runs it
Flowboard is operated by TG11 LLC, doing business as VulpFin. It shares a sign-in with the other TG11 services through TG11 Accounts, so one identity works across them — each service still keeps its own data.
