Vulpfin Flowboard

Frequently asked questions

What is Plan actually doing?

It fills a time budget. Given your open tasks — each with an estimate, an importance, an energy level, a due date and any dependencies — it picks an order that gets the most valuable work done inside the window you gave it, keeping related contexts together so you are not ping-ponging between kinds of work. Give it a start context and it will try to begin there.

Do I need an AI provider to use Flowboard?

No. Boards, planning, scheduling and calendars all work without one. The assistant is the only part that needs a key, and it stays switched off until you add one in AI providers.

Why my own API key instead of a subscription?

Because it is cheaper and more honest: you pay your provider directly at their rate, you choose the model, and you can see what each request cost. We never put our keys in your account.

Which models can I use?

Whichever ones your configured providers offer — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter and others are supported. The picker beside the assistant chooses a model for one request; your account default handles the rest, and a board can override both.

Does the assistant change my board on its own?

No. It proposes a changeset and you approve or reject it. Nothing moves until you say so, and the activity log on each board records what was applied.

How do calendars work?

Two ways. Every board publishes an .ics feed you can subscribe to from any calendar app — that link is secret, so treat it like a password and rotate it in board settings if it leaks. Or connect Google Calendar or Microsoft 365 in Settings → Calendars and push individual tasks into real events; connected calendars also feed your busy times back into the planner so it stops scheduling over meetings.

Can I share a board?

Yes — board settings → members. Invite by email with a role (admin, editor or viewer); they do not need an account yet, and the invitation waits for them. Boards other people share with you appear as owner~board so two boards called "personal" never collide.

What is the morning digest?

A daily email with what is due, what is overdue, what somebody assigned you since the last one, and — if you have a provider configured — a short written briefing. Turn it on or off in account settings.

Do I need a TG11 account?

No, but it helps: one sign-in across the TG11 services, and two-factor authentication if you enable it there. A local Flowboard password works too.

Can I get my data out?

Boards export as .ics, and you can ask support for a full export of your account at any time. Flowboard is AGPL-3.0 software — you can also run your own copy.

Is it free?

Yes. If that ever changes you will get notice first, and nothing you stored gets held hostage.
